Achilles Tendon Rupture Blog: D+10

It has been five days since the surgery. I have no idea how much work the surgeon actually did, but it feels as if he made cuts at the top and bottom of my right calf. The only way to prop my leg up comfortably is to turn my foot outwards and elevate it as much as possible. I have been advised to be proactive rather than reactive with my pain medication, so I have reluctantly taken more of the Hydroco/Apap 5-325. Today I hope to trade the splint for a cast, if the swelling has subsided enough.
