14 Days to Gator Football – #14 Bruce Bennett (’63-’65)

Bruce Bennett played safety for Ray GravesFlorida Gators from 1963 to 1965. Bruce held the team interception record for nearly two decades with 13 career INTs. He was named to the Gainesville Sun‘s All-Century team, and was a 1st-team All American in his final year as a Gator. He is remembered as being one of the best defensive backs in the pre-Spurrier Era for his interceptions and key plays in the Joe Namath upset and the 1966 Sugar Bowl loss against #6 Mizzou.
