#85 – David Galloway, DT (1978-81)

David Lawrence Galloway of Tampa, Florida, played defensive tackle for Doug Dickey and Charley Pell from 1978 to 1981. David was pivotal in turning the Gators around from their 0-10-1 1979 season to its 8-4 1980 Tangerine Bowl team. He was second-team All-SEC and honorable mention All-American in 1980, first-team All-SEC and Football Writers Association of America first-team All-American, and University of Florida Athletic Hall of Fame “Gator Great”. He is still tied for 7th on the all-time list with 21 QB sacks.
