UFC 129, Saturday April 29, 2011, Rogers Centre, Ontario, will be the sixth such event held in Canada. Speaking of Canada, 99% of the galaxy will be rooting for GSP. This fight will be a treat, for there are two championship belts on the line–welterweight and featherweight.
Champion Georges St-Pierre vs. Jake Shields for the 156 to 170 lbs (70 to 77 kg) Welterweight Championship)
UFC fighter, Jake Ellenberger, says”GSP Will win by Jab and a cup of Coffee”. Combat Cubicle Engineer, iWalt 2.0, agrees. GSP has won eight in a row in convincing fashion, and shows great versatility against all styles of opponents. Shields has fifteen successive wins against mostly nobodies and has-beens.
Jason Brilz vs. Vladimir Matyushenko Light Heavyweight bout
I hate to root against the fireman, but Mat-y-u-homina-homina-whats-his-face is a mean dude. Sure, he has lost against Lil’ Nog and Bones, but that is better than losing to Eliot Marshall. Who? Yeah. Fireman lost to a no-name. He also lost to Lil’ Nog, but that is a respectable loss. Look for a somewhat boring fight, with Mat-yeah-I-give-up-on-the-name winning.
Randy Couture vs. Lyoto Machida Light Heavyweight bout
Goodness! How many times has Couture retired? His dirty boxing and smothering wrestling will frustrate Machida’s counter-punch style. This will probably go to decision, but I would like to see The Natural knock out Machida.
Mark Bocek vs. Ben Henderson Lightweight bout
Henderson will eke out a decision, as long as Bocek does not bounce off the cage and round kick him.

Nate Diaz vs. Rory MacDonald Welterweight bout
I am tired of the Diaz sisters, but they tend to win these matches. It must be all that pot they smoke preventing them from feeling the pain. Diaz wins by submission, but I can only hope Rory knocks the truck out of Nate.
Jake Ellenberger vs. Sean Pierson Welterweight bout
Jake took this fight on short notice, but he loves to bang.
Prelims on Facebook
I have to admit, I did not do much research on the following picks. Valencia is a tough little guy from WEC. You see him on the highlights suplexing another fighter. Jason MacDonald is alright, for a Canuck.
Daniel Roberts over Claude Patrick — Americuh, F*** yeah!
Charlie Valencia over Ivan Menjivar –Mexican Americuh, F*** yeah!
Ryan Jensen over Jason MacDonald –Americuh, F*** yeah!
Kyle Watson over John Makdessi–Do I need to explain why?
Pablo Garza over Yves Jabouin–See the pattern?
