Main Card

Champ Frankie Edgar (13-1) vs. Gray Maynard (10-0-1) (146 to 155 lbs Lightweight title bout)

Maynard already beat Edgar in 2008, and is a better all-around fighter and wrestler. Edgar has the heart of a lion and has improved drastically since that loss by decision. Edgar has surprised people by beating his TUF coach BJ Penn twice, and I expect him upset Maynard same in this match.

Chris Leben (25-6) vs. Brian Stann (9-3) (171 to 185 lbs Middleweight bout)

I hate rooting against Chris Leben, but I really think that The All American Brian Stann is just as hard-headed as Leben and will use his rapidly increasing skills to outlast Leben in FOTN.

Thiago Silva (14-2) vs. Brandon Vera (11-5) (186 to 205 lbs Light Heavyweight bout)

Brandon “the Truth” Vera will rebound from having his face rearranged by Bones Jones with a TKO on Thiago Silva.

Nate Diaz (13-5) vs. Dong Hyun Kim 김동현 (13-0-2) (156 to 170 lbs Welterweight bout)

Diaz nearly took Gray Maynard to the woodshed in a controversial loss, and he has performed well as a welterweight and a lightweight. As much as I don’t like the guy, I see him bullying Kim around in FOTN.

Takanori Gomi (32-6) vs. Clay Guida (27-11) (146 to 155 lbs Lightweight bout)

It’s the Carpenter! Who doesn’t like watching this guy? Don’t blink, or you might miss the entire thing. This could also be FOTN. Both of these guys have FOTN or KOTN honors in previous bouts.

Preliminary Card

Marcus Davis (17-1-2) vs. Jeremy Stephens (18-6) (146 to 155 lbs Lightweight bout)

The Irish Hand Grenade is going to get Medieval on Jeremy Stephens. This could be KOTN. Davis walks around at 210 pounds and will easily manhandle any opponent that does not grapple.

Josh Grispi (14-1) vs. Dustin Poirier (8-1) (136 to 145 lbs Featherweight bout)

Grispi can head kick, guillotine choke or armbar his way to a win in this one. Poirier is only fighting because FW Champ Jose Aldo is injured. Sucks to be you.

Phil Baroni (13-12) vs. Brad Tavares (6-0) (171 to 185 lbs Middleweight bout)

Don’t care, but the New York Bad @$$ is one loss from being a 0.500 fighter. Just give him the win.

Mike Brown (24-6) vs. Diego Nunes (15-1) (136 to 145 lbs Featherweight bout)

I can remember when Mike Brown looked unbeatable in the way he beat down Urijah Faber twice. I look for him to get back into winning form so he can go get another beatdown from Jose Aldo next year. Look for an early KO.

Daniel Roberts (11-1) vs. Greg Soto (8-1) (156 to 170 lbs Welterweight bout)

Look for the blue belt in Cesar Gracie BJJ to choke out Soto.

Antonio McKee (25-3-2) vs. Jacob Volkmann (11-2) (146 to 155 lbs Lightweight bout)

This could turn into a grappling clinic. Typically these fights are rather boring, since the skillsets are matched too well.
